Water System Update

The DPV Board is working with NWS to upgrade our water system. A portion of the water dues is deposited into an account for capital improvements and the Board is currently looking into securing additional funding through a o%  DWSRF loan for the pre construction portion of the project.

We've completed the well preliminary engineering and we're approved for up to 100 water connections (more than enough for every lot owner). Our current water system is adequate to provide for existing and future connections; however, engineers have recommended the following upgrades:

Upgrades in Progress
-Providing a new water main from the well site to the existing pipe infrastructure (this will have the advantage of providing fire flow protection to the neighborhood via a fire hydrant near the entrance of the community)
-New efficient booster pumps
-Replacing the well house
-Making necessary upgrades to existing pump house
-Move power underground to both well and pump houses
-Upgrading the disinfectant delivery system

Completed
-Easement completed for new water main
-Upgrading the Insulation in the pump house
-Estimates for engineering pre-construction and started DWSRF loan application
