The Association has transitioned to a new water management provider, Whidbey Water Services. For water issues, please contact Whidbey Water Services directly at 360-579-1535 or 360-579-1956.
If you wish to connect a new property to the water system you may apply for a water connection that will be approved at our yearly Annual Meeting in June.
Water System USDA Loan
The DPV Board is now currently working with Wilson Engineering (after transitioning from Davido Consulting Group in Fall 2022). We will continue to update as much as we find out as we work with this new Engineering firm, which has been extremely responsive and thorough in their work so far.
In 2022 Davido Consulting Group completed the USDA required preliminary report on our water system to include an environmental and archeologist report. We have received our project approval letter from USDA and funding is still pending, as we have a new USDA loan coordinator upon our previous one's retirement (Fall 2022). We will continue to keep you posted on our progress. Below are the final archeologist, preliminary and environment reports plus our approval letter.
As of Fall 2022 our loan is still in process and we have a new loan representative after our previous one's retirement. Members of the DPV Board met with a representative from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) on December 2, 2019, to discuss applying for a loan to fund the reconstruction of our water system (new infrastructure, pipes) with a sub-component to connect to North Whidbey Water District and City of Oak Harbor for emergency water access. Read the report below for more information.
The following DPV residents received a water system connection for their properties at the 2022 annual meeting. Connections were distributed via lottery. Recipients are required to pay a $15,000 connection fee.
